July 30 at 5:20 PMI think it will be odd when August begins and I won't be logging plastic-free actions every day. One of the biggest benefits of participating in plastic free July has been the thought I've put into what I buy and do.

July 26 at 7:55 AMSo, after thinking about composting for awhile, I just got a compost crock to start collecting food scraps at home. Thanks to Plastic free July for pushing me to finally start composting!

July 26 at 6:06 AMI am trying to be more mindful about making purchases under the mantras "less is more" and "do I really need this?". Buying less definitely cuts down on waste.

July 25 at 11:17 AMNot plastic free but, plastic less...? Got a new strawless lid at b&n cafe yesterday

July 21 at 1:55 PMI have been more aware of the items I purchase and the amount of packaging they use, especially plastic. I will opt for the better designed package option to limit waste.

July 18 at 7:15 AMYesterday I picked up my weekly CSA share from a local farm. Love getting lots of produce without any plastic!

July 16 at 12:26 PMFor the "Dam the Flow" one-time challenge, I recommend Thinx. Of the available options for this type of personal care, I think this is the best out there. Also great customer service!

July 15 at 8:02 PMToday I refused the plastic freezer bag they put your ice cream in and refused the plastic bag that Wegmans pharmacy uses for your meds

July 12 at 7:54 PMJust read about composting pet waste as a daily activity... I really need to do this, at least for my dog, Tupper! I have wanted to build a compost tumbler now I have more of a reason to! We use a lot of poop bags from walks, I could pick it up with a shovel or scoop to carry home. That would make a big difference!
