Kelly Ulrich 7/30/2018 5:20 PMI think it will be odd when August begins and I won't be logging plastic-free actions every day. One of the biggest benefits of participating in plastic free July has been the thought I've put into what I buy and do. -
Kelly Ulrich 7/26/2018 7:55 AMSo, after thinking about composting for awhile, I just got a compost crock to start collecting food scraps at home. Thanks to Plastic free July for pushing me to finally start composting!-
mara hart 7/26/2018 8:27 AMThat's important! Do you have a garden?

Lisa Buda 7/26/2018 6:06 AMI am trying to be more mindful about making purchases under the mantras "less is more" and "do I really need this?". Buying less definitely cuts down on waste. -

Rhonda McDonald 7/24/2018 4:40 AMI have been much more aware of the amount of plastic packaging used for items that are shipped. There are layers of plastic wrapping to protect the products, which are just wasted afterwards. The increase in online ordering is only increasing the packaging waste. My new goal is to avoid ordering anything online that can be picked up at a local store. -
Lisa Buda 7/21/2018 1:55 PMI have been more aware of the items I purchase and the amount of packaging they use, especially plastic. I will opt for the better designed package option to limit waste. -
Gretchen Spencer 7/18/2018 7:15 AMYesterday I picked up my weekly CSA share from a local farm. Love getting lots of produce without any plastic! -
Ashley Burek 7/16/2018 12:26 PMFor the "Dam the Flow" one-time challenge, I recommend Thinx. Of the available options for this type of personal care, I think this is the best out there. Also great customer service!-
Jamie Broussard 7/16/2018 12:53 PMHuge advocate of the menstrual cup. Reusable and very little maintenance required. And you can leave it in all day!

Nancy Parks 7/15/2018 8:02 PMToday I refused the plastic freezer bag they put your ice cream in and refused the plastic bag that Wegmans pharmacy uses for your meds -
Darla Sucy Bragg 7/12/2018 7:54 PMJust read about composting pet waste as a daily activity... I really need to do this, at least for my dog, Tupper! I have wanted to build a compost tumbler now I have more of a reason to! We use a lot of poop bags from walks, I could pick it up with a shovel or scoop to carry home. That would make a big difference!
