Today is the very last day of the challenge! I am so proud of our teams efforts! Hopefully we can keep these habits in the future and all be more aware of the impact that our day to day choices make. Don't forget the 3 R's are Reduce, Reuse, and then Recycle. They are listed in that order for a reason! If you can, first reduce your consumption...

Hi team!! I'm so proud of us! What I've learned most is that using less plastic demands that I be more prepared and plan ahead. I now have a box in my car with reusable utensils, reusable containers, reusable bags, metal straws and reusable chopsticks. I continue to struggle with plastic packaging. I gathered up some old t-shirts and an old tablecloth to make produce bags. Plus, this gives me a chance to improve my sewing skills :)

I'm thrilled with how well our team has done! Go Sedgwick County Zoo!! We are in the home stretch with only a week or so to go in July. I think that I've made some changes that have become habits.  What have you discovered? I see that a lot of us have purchased items to help us be plastic-free. Any recommendations?
