    I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the plastic free July challenge. I’ve made so many more steps to reduce plastic use. I plan to keep I going and keep finding new ways to improve sustainability practices in my daily life!  I have learned a lot from everyone’s posts and successes.     Many of the "metal tubed" toothpastes still use plastic for the lid and some have linings that may contain BPA. I finally decided to try to make my own toothpaste. Have been trying it for a couple of days and seems to be working well. I used a recipe that I found on this...

    For those of you that like to drink the sports drinks or water with added electrolytes, they actually make small fizzy tablets with electrolytes that you can add to your reusable water bottle. It is less expensive and will reduce your plastic use.

     Purchased five waste free meals to prepare this week .  Two meals pasta vegetarian.  Three meals with butcher paper and plastic free vegetables .
