    It's been great keeping reusable containers in my car with my reusable grocery bags. I know have the containers with me whenever I go out to eat and want to bring leftovers home. A server at one restaurant let me know that they had containers for me to use if I didn't want to use my own.

    I need to be more diligent on  busy days  to remember not to use plastic disposable items.

    Started my own challenge to eliminate k-cup waste by switching to re-usable coffee pods!

    Challenges are going great! My compost pile is getting bigger and better. It's satisfying to see food scraps and paper towels used NOT go to waste.

    made dinner last night with chickpea pasta, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, peas,  olives , herbs and red wine. No plastic containers contained any of the ingredients in this meal.

    Went food shopping yesterday and bought produce - used cloth produce bags to collect tomatoes, cukes, avocados, herbs, and other veggies rather than using the plastic bags offered.  Will make a salad today with those veggies which were not encased in plastic by me or the store.

    I learned about composting pet waste. I already compost food scraps using CompostNow but they do not collect any feces of any kind.  I already use compostable litter (walnut shells) and use compostable litter bags but they still need to go in the regular trash as my composter will not accept them for their industrial compost machines.
