Last day for Plastic Free July!  I can honestly say this has helped me remember my bags at he store.  Only forgot them 2 times this past month!  

I have stopped using a plastic can liner in my office trashcan and converted that can to holding mish mosh recycling!  Easy to just dump recycled smaller trash can (purchased at DAV) each day or every few days.  Just a few steps to the kitchen trash for larger items!

The week of July 9th, let's try and focus on the category Personal Care! For example, you can avoid buying toxic plastics. Here's a quick summary of suggestions for use of these plastics, particularly if using them for food and drink:  2, 4 and 5 are OK for limited use

AVOID 1, 3, 6, and 7 (polycarbonate). These #'s are found on the bottom of containers.

OR...if you want to get really creative, you can try making your own shampoo, deodorant, or toothpaste!
