I’ve started bringing my own reusable travel cup with me everywhere I go so that when I go out to eat I simply fill up my cup.  So far Subway allowed me to fill up my cup for free and Panda Express only charged me 50 cents.  So not only am I avoiding using straws but I’m also cutting down on unnecessary trash and saving money in the process!  😊👍

I have been carrying a straw in my purse so I don’t need one when I get drinks while I am out and about.  Even though some folks give me a weird look it feels good to know that I am not adding more straws to the environment!

I cleaned up all the trash at the North bark dog park while I was there with my doggie yesterday. I picked up 8 straws, 6 plastic bags, 7 water bottles, and a lot of other stuff.  It was really nice leaving there seeing it so clean!

Bought a pack of reusable straws and put 2 in my purse for when I'm on the go.

I LOVE my keurig but hate using the plastic coffee pods. I buy bulk coffee in a canister and scoop it into a reusable filter pod. When the coffee canister is empty, I put my used cooking grease in it then recycle it at work.

Took my own cup to the restaurant for a refill, reused a zip lock bag for grapes & a reusable bag for tortillas.  Recycled my hummus container - couldn't find a way around that packaging.
