I'm pleasantly surprised how many people i meet who are aware of the problem of plastics, especially in the oceans, and are open to doing something for Plastic Free July!

I'm so glad we did this challenge as a team! A lot of the things I've been doing during the challenge are so easy to keep doing, especially since I now keep my eating utensils and metal straw in my handbag at all times. My bamboo toothbrushes will arrive soon, I've put up notices in my apartment so my roommates know what can be recycled (one has told me she read it and found it very helpful!), and I'll be encouraging others to try plastic free whenever I can!

This challenge really opened my eyes to the ways I can reduce plastic use at home and at work. The results have made me and my husband a lot more conscious of what we’re doing every day.

I’m super bummed that I didn’t get to make my own deodorant by the end of July, but thanks to some tips and recipes found here on this feed, I will make it soon. Thanks everyone!

High five to Ed, Nora and Rachel for doing some community clean up around the zoo, Franklin Park and Scarborough Pond. There’s sooo much more to do so we should schedule another! Plastic free August!

Today is the last day. I’m so proud of our team. We really kicked some plastic butt. I’m super psyched about getting so many people thinking more about plastic and very humbled by the amount of interest and support from coworkers, friends, family and strangers!  I hope that everyone had a similar experience and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with all of you and more!  Plastic free for a better earth!

WE DID IT!!! I'm so proud of all of us! Definitely going to keep all my new habits, and continue to teach people how we can make changes to help the environment.

By avoiding plastic packaging this month, I have noticed I have been eating better with fresh ingredients and homemade recipes.

It may be the last day of #PlasticFreeJuly, but it really should be an every day effort. Hope we all can continue the trend!
