Plastic-Free Beyond July

I'm having fun figuring out different ways to grocery shop and store items without using plastic bags.

On my fast food visit at lunch, I skipped the straw and the plastic lid.

Went to a fast food restaurant and skipped the bag. 

Skipping the straw is second nature now. I'm using reusable bags for produce storage as well, now.

It's going great! I am finding other easy ways to cut down on plastic.

I added using my new reusable fruit and vegetable bags for groceries and lunches. 

Buying fruit that isn't in plastic containers is really hard! Working on this... 

This is actually harder than I thought it would be.  However, I know every little tiny effort will end up making a BIG difference.  

We were just in London and there are signs in a lot of places saying they don't use plastic straws.  Paper straws are available.  I hope to see that catch on more in the United States.

Another day of no straws or plastic bags!
