Does anyone have other plastic groups that they follow for news/updates?
 

Made homemade deodorant! Boil 2oz of water and mix in one teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of baking soda. Add 2-3 drops of essential oils for scent.

Just made a donation to the Seaturtle Conservancy program to help with ocean cleanups.

Definitely, easier than others on some days - but what a fun challenge! I am definitely more aware of my actions going forward! 

Commissary staff had a completely plastic free meal today!

It may be the last day of the challenge, but I will continue to use less plastic and cleanup debris as I see it.  

I have learned that I have a fairly simple life style when it comes to purchasing items. 

Now researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology have created a material derived from crab shells and tree fibers that has the potential to replace the flexible plastic packaging used to keep food fresh.
